I have a enclosed cargo trailer. The vent cover was actually broken, causing water to leak in. Instead of buying a new cover, I bought the Maxxair white vent cover. It was very easy to mount, took me about 15 minutes with a cordless drill. It provides good ventilation, although you won't be able to crank your vent up very far. If this thing will ast 5 years, I'd be thrilled. Good construction!

I have 3 of these on my camper which we love to protect our vents when we forget to close them in transit and I also added one to my cargo trailer!

Putting a vent cover on your RV is a no-brainer! This cover protects the vent dome from damage from the sun, wind and tree limbs. You can leave the vent open and not worry about rain getting into your camper. The install process is very easy - if you are able to get on your RV roof easily and have a cordless drill, screwdriver and wrench. Just drill four holes and tighten the screws and nuts (check the you tube clip on installing a vent cover). No caulk is needed as it just "hovers" over the vent, not touching your roof.
