I bought this car seat after purchasing an alpha omega elite, which turned out to be too big to fit my CR-V in the backward facing position. So I sold it and got my self this seat. It is perfect!!! VERY confortable for my daughther, who was 6 months when I got it, even when she falls asleep. Very easy to install and will keep tightly attached even in the bumpiest dirt roads. PLUS... very nice designs!! Wouldn't doubt to make this purchase again!!

If you are in the market for a convertible car seat that won't completely take over your car - THIS is the seat for you.
I AGONIZED over what seat to buy for my 9 month old - who just grew out of her infant seat - and I ended up deciding that this was the best option. I was right. It fits perfectly behind the passenger seat of my Toyota Matrix (really, just a longer Corolla). I installed it myself, using the simple instructions, and had it inspected. It passed inspection with flying colors, so it's not hard to install AT ALL.
Most of the car seats out there are WAY too big, ugly and weigh a TON. This car seat may not fit your child as long as other car seats, but I feel that is an unrealistic goal. No car seat is going to be perfect for every situation. You should see what can reasonably fit in your car, and is the safest. A car seat is only safe if it fits your car properly. Don't just get what everyone else gets, or what sells the best - it may not fit in your car.
Oh - and for anyone who is concerned about these being made by a "Euro" company? They have stricter rules than the US - so I trust them WAY more. (Britax is a Euro company, BTW.)
